Polls

Polls are versatile tools for increasing engagement, gathering data, and enhancing the user experience on your website. They offer a direct way to interact with your audience and provide valuable insights into their preferences and opinions.

NOTE: Unlike other content types, polls in Sellvio do not have standalone, dedicated pages with detailed information. Instead, they must be linked to other content types, such as articles, events, and galleries.

Polls can also be directly associated with a specific language. If you want to create a poll for all the languages supported in the store, you need to create the same poll for each language individually.

The Polls Administration page can be accessed from the administration sidebar under Article Management → Polls.

To view the list of polls for a specific language, select the desired language from the Languages menu in the left sidebar. This selected language will also be used when creating a new poll.

Polls

  1. Languages - Polls can be created for each language used in the store. The languages listed in the Languages panel act as subcategories.
  2. Title - The title of the poll, which also serves as the question for the poll.
  3. Answers - The number of options available to store customers to choose from as their response to the poll question.
  4. Active - Indicates whether the poll is active or deactivated. Deactivated polls are not visible to store customers.
  5. Created at - The date and time the poll was created.
  6. Store owners can edit existing polls by clicking the "Edit" button.
  7. If a poll is no longer needed, store owners can delete it by clicking the "Trash" button.
  8. To search for a poll by title, simply enter its name in the search bar and click the "Magnifying Glass" icon.
  9. New polls can be created anytime by clicking the "Add New" button.

Creating new polls in Sellvio is a simple process that only requires a few steps.

  • Title - The title of the poll, which also serves as the question for the poll.
  • Languages - Polls can be created for each language used in the store. The languages listed in the Languages panel act as subcategories.
  • Active - Determines whether the poll is active or deactivated. Deactivated polls will not be visible to store customers.
  • Start date - The initial date when the poll becomes visible to store customers. This date allows administrators to schedule polls for automatic future publication. For this to take effect, the poll must be set to active.
  • End date - The date after which the poll will no longer be visible to store customers. This field allows polls to stop being published after a specific date.
  • Answers - This section allows store administrators to define the responses to the poll question. There is no limit to the number of responses that can be defined for a poll. Responses can also be manually reordered.

The Votes Tab displays the number of votes received for the poll as well as the distribution of responses across the available options.
