Missing translations

In multilingual webstores, it is essential that all products are translated into every language supported by the store. This ensures a seamless shopping experience and makes all necessary information accessible in every language.

The Missing Translations administration screen helps store owners efficiently identify required fields that have not been translated into all available languages in the webstore.

Unlike the Missing Parameters and Missing Filters management screens, products remain listed even after all their fields have been translated.

Let’s take a closer look at how administrators can identify which fields of a product are missing translations:

Missing translations

  1. Webshop categories – The webstore categories sidebar lists all existing product categories in the system, allowing administrators to navigate and select the specific category where they want to validate their products. Upon selecting a category, the table automatically displays the products belonging to that category.
  2. Name – The name of the product.
  3. Article number – The product's Stock Keeping Unit number.
  4. Missing translations (*language*) – This column displays all fields of the product that lack a translation in the specified language. Based on its contents, it can represent three different states:
    1. Empty column – All fields of the product have been translated.
    2. Gray labels in the column – The listed fields are untranslated, and the product is not yet activated in the specified language
    3. Green labels in the column – The product is activated in the specified language, but the listed fields are still missing translations.
  5. To search for a product, simply type its name into the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
  6. Multiple selection field, allows filtering the product list based on specific fields that lack translations.
  7. The "Edit" button provides quick access to the product settings page, which opens in a new browser tab for convenient adjustments.
