Brands and their management

Although brands are entirely optional, they play a much larger role than simply displaying a name and logo on the product page.

Brands have a dedicated listing page and serve as an additional layer for categorizing products.

The brand management page can be accessed from the administration sidebar under Webshop → Brands.

The list of brands has a simple list view and a sorting view. Switching between the views can be done using the blue button in the top-right corner, which says "List view" or "Sort view," depending on the current view.

The two views are identical, except that in the sorting view, you can arrange the brands, and there is no pagination at the bottom of the page.

Brands and their management

  1. Name - The name of the brand, visible on the admin page and in various sections of the online store.
  2. Featured on Homepage - Indicates whether the brand is displayed on the webshop's homepage under the brands section.
  3. To search for a brand, simply type its name into the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
  4. By clicking the "edit" button, store owners can modify existing brands.
  5. If a brand is no longer needed, store owners can delete it by clicking the "trash" icon.
  6. New brands can be created anytime by clicking the "Add New" button.
  7. By clicking on this icon and holding the mouse, you can rearrange the order of the brands. This option is only available in the aforementioned "Sorting View."

In addition, you can configure the automatic rotation of the brands carousel through the Options sidebar.

If the field is set to "0," automatic rotation is disabled. For other numerical values, automatic rotation will be enabled.
For example, if the field contains "5," the carousel will rotate every 5 seconds.

Adding or Editing Brands

New brands can be added quickly, as they do not require a large amount of information to be filled in.

Basic tab

Brands and their management

  • Name - The name of the brand, used across various sections of the webshop and on the brand administration page.
  • Logo - An image of the brand's logo. The logo can appear on the homepage, the product details page, and the brand's dedicated page.
  • Featured on Homepage - Determines whether the brand's logo appears in the rotating carousel on the homepage.
  • Description - Store owners are encouraged to provide information about the brand. This information will be displayed on the brand's dedicated page, positioned above the list of products associated with that brand.
This field allows administrators to create and edit content with a visual display similar to the final output. Users can format text, insert images, and design the primary description in a way that reflects how it will appear to customers.

Translations tab

Brands and their management

The Translations tab allows administrators to provide translations for the brand in all active languages used in the webshop. This step is essential before saving the brand.

  • Title - The brand's name in the selected language.
  • Description - Administrators can provide a description in the selected language, offering concise information about the brand. This content functions the same as in the default language.
  • OG Title - The title of the page that appears when the page is shared. This helps control how the page title is displayed on social platforms, making it more user-friendly and appealing to an online audience.
  • OG Description - The brand's description that appears when the page is shared.

Social tab

On the Translations tab, we’ve already encountered some OG settings.

Under the dedicated Social tab, store owners can configure the brand’s Open Graph (OG) settings in the store's primary language.

  • OG Description - The brand's description that appears when the page is shared.
  • OG Image - The image that appears alongside the OG Title and OG Description when the content is shared on social media. This image can only be configured for the store's primary language. When a brand is shared on social media, the same image will be used across all languages.
